Get your hands dirty - Do the hard work.
I’ve met many creative folks brimming with ideas. Brimming with talent and ambition. They’re smart, able, interesting and likable. Just about anything they set their mind to would be at least interesting and at best remarkable. And yet, most of those people have nothing to show for their ideas. Their ideas live in the ether. Locked away from the rest of the world.
These are the same people who always point out that they “had this idea years ago..”.
Perhaps it’s time to explore that idea. Perhaps its time to start working on it, get it to prototype as quickly as possible. Get your hands dirty and see where this idea ends up. At worst, you’ll learn something. And at best, you’ll create something remarkable and keep yourself busy for the next few months - it can open doors to people and places and allow you to do the thing you’ve always wanted.
The dirt on your hands are the lessons learned - And while you can wash your hands clean, the lessons will stay. They will help you the next time you’ll go out there and get them dirty again.
This series of content is a small experiment. I pledged to create a piece of content on my site for the next 365 days. You can read the opening post here. The posts aren’t limited to thoughts or ideas, they’re really just a way for me to create original content. If you got any feedback/questions, please reach out. Thanks for looking.
