There new world is more global, more educated, more persistent and more competitive.
The new world is changing at a rapid pace. The minute you stop embracing change is the minute you start falling behind.
Too often teams will settle into routines and approaches that have worked in the past. Too often the same teams loose their curiosity to learn new things and try new ways of doing something. It takes time and effort to be on the forefront of the new and the possible - but the alternative is worst. The alternative is resisting change, not knowing the latest technologies and the latest tools. The alternative make you old and slow and eventually stale and irrelevant.
Change is the way the world works. Leaders not only embrace change - they drive change. They create the new path, carving it out through the density of the unknowable. The rest follow and some resist. Those who resist are the ones who perish, the ones who become forgotten.
Even embracing change might not be enough in the new world - creating change might be the way to go.
