Discomfort should be desirable. It should be celebrated. It should be honed and embraced at every level.
Discomfort, in the creative field, is a signal that you’re venturing out into uncharted waters. Perhapsyou’re outside the envelope, on your own, figuring out things that you’ve never done - or perhaps, no one has ever done. This is a great place to be. It’s not easy. Nothing worth doing is ever easy.
Discomfort makes you learn. It makes you fight. It makes you think and ponder. It makes you stronger for the next challenge.
When we’re at a point in our creative process - and we hit that discomfort zone - it’s best to embrace it and to enjoy it. Ride it out. This discomfort will have lessons in the long term. If you get through it, you’ll likely remember it.
