Initial ideas are ephemeral, unreal, waiting to coalesce into something real. Prototyping brings those ideas into reality. A thousand little things can be answered the moment a prototype exists. How it looks, how it works, how it feels…
Where a picture is worth a thousand words - a prototype is worth countless meetings, sketches, thoughts, discussions and brainstorms. A prototype exposes good ideas and bad ones. It allows you to see the reality - it allows you to judge and experience those ideas in real.
The value of a prototype is absolutely real. The goal is to always get to a prototype as quickly as possible so you can learn, adjust and iterate if necessary.
This series of content is a small experiment. I pledged to create a piece of content on my site for the next 365 days. You can read the opening post here. The posts aren’t limited to thoughts or ideas, they’re really just a way for me to create original content. If you got any feedback/questions, please reach out. Thanks for looking.
