It’s easy to try something once. You can make a plan, make an effort, do your best - it’s possible that you will succeed, and it’s also quite possible that you will fail. Success is a difficult endeavor. It takes perseverance, drive, know how, stubbornness, skill and countless other attributes. Failure is much more likely. We will all fail. We’ve all failed.
So how many times to do you try again?
Do you dust yourself off and go right back into it? Do you do it right away? Do you wait? Do you try something different?
The question of what you do after failure always comes back to purpose and passion. Do you have the passion and the drive to try the same thing again and apply the lessons learned? If the passion isn’t there - then maybe it’s time to move on. But, if you’re still in angst, if you still have something to achieve, if you’re still brimming with passion - you should go and try again. Try harder. Try new. Try everything. Never forgetting about the lessons learned in the previous attempts. Never forgetting to continue learning, to adjust and adapt.
So how many times do you try again? As many as it takes - as long as you want it. You just can’t do it the same exact way every time.
