It’s not luck. It’s not skill. It’s not your talent. And it’s not even your connections or money. It’s resilience. It’s focus and it’s absolute dedication. We’re not talking dedication in days or months. We’re talking years.
The evidence points to it. Want to be an expert at something? 10,000 hours needs to be spent - that’s roughly 10 years. Want to learn how to play piano? Dedicate yourself for 10 years. Want to become an artist who paints oil paintings? Spend 10 years honingyour craft. Want to be good at creating products? - try 10 years of practice.
It takes dedication and resilience to see something through to the end. It takes countless failures and set back - and you coming back to the same goal, trying it a different way. Perhaps with the lessons learned from the previous attempts you can make the difficult and correct decisions to get to your goal. So no, it’s not luck, it’s not skill or talent. It’s you committed and resilient. Everyone knows it - few are willing to do it. Which camp do you fall in?
