Like people, brands evolve. They tend to change with circumstances.
Sometimes they get successful , get full of themselves, lose sight of why and how they got to where they got and loose touch with the reality. They loose touch with those who support them.
The thing to remember is that you can evolve and change in any direction you want. Brands that evolve to become irrelevant can choose to evolve and become relevant yet again. It's not impossible - it's just very difficult.
