Verbal clarity

With constant new inventions and systems it can sometimes be unnatural to do the most natural thing. Talking. Comparing ideas. Comparing thoughts and establishing a verbal direction.

In teams, verbal clarity is crucial. Yes, as designers we can communicate by other means. Yes, with all the current services, being in the same room isn’t necessary. Yes, you can email and IM and Slack me all day long. Yes, its great, and yes, its easy. But, its not complete.

Verbal conversation will trump any service out there. Verbal conversations in person are better still. And if both (or all) parties are looking to align as a goal, those conversations can be the difference between efficiency and bureaucracy.

Take your pick. Don’t forget - it’s free to talk and it’s better.

This series of content is a small experiment. I pledged to create a piece of content on my site for the next 365 days. You can read the opening post here. The posts aren’t limited to thoughts or ideas, they’re really just a way for me to create original content. If you got any feedback/questions, please reach out. Thanks for looking.
